A Virtual Reality Poetry Experience

Ever wondered what the inside of someone else’s imagination looks like?

Join Lytisha as her mind wanders through a whole host of ideas whilst she is inside the MRI scanner. She examines the important questions in life – What did Concorde’s nose sound like? Can mental dancing affect a scan? What flavour ice-cream should she have next? All the big questions. Surrounded by the sounds of the scanner we are led on an unexpected journey.

Let us lead you on a poetry journey unlike any other …

On arrival you will be consulted by a member of the team then invited to enter the ‘treatment area’ and fitted with a virtual reality headset and invited to lay back or sit comfortably for this intimate poetry experience.

With the option of subtitles, you will see and hear the images and memories conjured by the sounds of the machinery of the MRI scanner. And you may be surprised at what turns up!

What can that sound be but the belly of a bear? Who would’ve thought chocolate fish would swim through the universe? Shoulder pads. Just, shoulder pads.

After the VR poem you are encouraged to share your thoughts on the experience.
